Still having issues with insurance from last year when someone rear-ended and totaled my Camry (the person who hit me was driving a brand-new Chrysler 300 and drove away with a little dent in his hood. >.< ). So yeah, I know how it feels.

All the best!

I agree with the first comment to "keep the faith", although I know how hard it is. My car was repo'd in 2007 because I couldn't afford my payments. I then had to PAY to get my car back from the tow yard. I still have the same car (a Honda) and I'm thankful for that, although I have a lot of work to do on it. It's a 98 and is starting to show it's age. But it gets me to work. I live in Atlanta with no public transportation options either, so I understand what you mean, and I know financially how you feel too. Even with a day job, and 2 side jobs (design and jewelry) I still sob whenever an unexpected expense shows up. I hope things look up soon - I'm sure they will. :)

Glad to hear you found a better price on the mechanic. Hope you can get a good rate from them on the whole job. I'll try to send some traffic (buyers) your way... good luck & hang in there!

Who cares if it's two years old? If the car doesn't work then it's useless. That's like saying "If you have a day old pen. Then you are doing just fine." If the pen doesn't write then what good is it?

Yikes! In response to "JC" it has nothing to do with the number of years / how new it is. Most parts coverage is over before you know it. I have a 2005 Prius which now has over 130,000 miles because of my job. All the coverage was gone a long time ago.

Oh, this car is the same price point as the KIA Rio. I though tI was doing myself a favor by going for the GM instead of the Kia...wow I made a bad call.

The catch is that I live in NJ....very spread apart. I put 50,000 miles on it in 2 years. The warranty was by ,miles, not years. the powertrain is covered for 5, but everything else is by mileage. :(
