Another cooking experiment has passed with great results! I made Ground Beef and Cornbread Biscuit Pie with Boma’s Carrot Ginger Soup. (Boma is one of my favorite restaurants at Disney World)

The soup was a little more labor intensive than the skillet pie because I had to puree the carrots, but HOLY CRAP it’s good. Harknell doesn’t even like ginger and he inhaled every bit. The best part is that the ginger and spices are understated enough to compliment everything and bring out a great flavor.

The skillet pie just kicked ass for obvious reasons. I remembered to take a photo his time!

Harknell is really glad we have leftovers for tomorrow! I am so happy I now have a basic kitchen unlike my last apartment.

I have decided that I am going to cook!!!!

Yes!! Cook!!!!

Slight problem. I haven’t really done this in 11 years and basically I only knew how to make like 2 things. My Mom taught me how to bake like crazy because of the German side of our family and their jaunty baked goods, but I never learned how to cook an entree.

OK! So I didn’t know that you can use a knife to cut parsley. I don’t have any bowls, I thought I at least had salt and pepper in the apartment but apparently I don’t, and most of my dishes are plastic and disposable. Here is pretty much all of the dishes I have that are not disposable:

Yes, I am including my iPhone as a dish. Because…umm. Well it has a recipe on it. And see that?? I’m putting the spices in thar before cooking time! RIGHT IN THAR!

LETS TRY THIS MAN YEAHHH!!!! This will be interesting for you readers, think. XD

(I need to go to the store and buy a dish and a salt tomorrow. Then like a spoon. I don’t have a spoon to mix shit with.)

I think an oven is like the magic cooking microwave box, but more boring. I will find out.
