Remember back when I posted that I am in an abusive relationship with my iPhone?
I have the best husband evar. He went out and scored me a cheap refurb 3Gs just when my upgrade credit popped in through AT&T. We aren’t the typical couple. My husband doesn’t do the diamonds thing. He doesn’t do flowers. He does technology. This is one of many reasons why we work so well together. When he sees me struggling to get to all of my emails, he gets an idea on how to help me and goes for it. He knows I could care less about flowers and diamonds unless they get me internetz.
I found something amazing. My anger at the iPhone had nothing to do with the iPhone itself. It was because the 3G iPhone was underpowered and slow. The keyboard would freeze. I would then press hard and hurt my arm and hand trying to subconsciously make it go faster.
The 3GS is a dream. It is a lot faster. My keyboard no longer freezes. My email is fast and does not crash. The kicker? My hand no longer hurts. Problem solved!
I can’t believe I was lucky enough to snag Harknell. He cares more about seeing me succeed than anything else, and I care more about him succeeding than anything else. We are two screwed up weirdos, but perfectly matched.
BTW: Thanks to Sandy from MEI Travel/Mouse Fan Travel for reminding me to post this! :) If you need a travel agent to help you go to Disney World, she is your woman! Just request her when you contact them!

I’ve been meaning to post this for awhile, but things got very crazy around here! (Long story to come…) Just hours after I had posted my rant about Benefit Cosmetics, they contacted me and sent me a beautiful package of makeup with a handwritten note. I had this package before the holidays. Normally I post much faster than this! D:
Here is the box:

Inside the box:

Here is a picture of the Celebutante Kit opened up:

Included in the package was:
- Benefit High Brow: This is a creamy-white pencil that you use to highlight your browbone. I found that it also works on the eyelid to wake up the eye. It seems to work well for when I don’t want to use a shimmery highlight. This is really perfect for office.
- Benefit Dallas: I think I must have gotten a bad box las time. This replacement Benefit Dallas was really nice and pigmented. I actually can use it as both a blush and as a bronzer.
- Badgal Lash Mascara: This Mascara is pretty cool, but I wish it were a bit more waterproof. It gives a really exaggerated (almost false lash) look. I like this, however I found that if it is hot it can smudge. The good news is that this didn’t cause any eye irritation. (I am allergic to many mascaras.)
- Celebutante Kit: I haven’t had a chance to use everything in this kit yet, but it seems kinda really awesome. I might go ahead and try to use it in a makeup tutorial. The girls that read here keep asking me to do another one of those. Heh. :D
Before I had snowballed into being angry. Clearly, I am not angry like I was before. Benefit just demonstrated that a personal touch can turn around a customer’s opinion.

Awww! Look at the bouncing baby boy! He was born on 22 January and is a teeny-weeny 172 pounds.
I did not know that they are called “White” rhinos because they have wide mouths. “Weit” in Afrikaans means wide! OMFG LOOK AT FACE. I LIKE FACE.

Wow there is a new Finntroll video and the ex-singer of Visions of Atlantis started a new band.
Has anyone else ended up going to less live shows? I got burned a few times when I bought advance tickets and could not go, so I stopped buying tickets to live shows altogether.
I think I need some new CDs. I have to think of what to get.
I feel bad for bands, because I know how hard it is for someone like me making independent comics. I think music is much harder because the industry is more of a pile of shit. A label can get you fame, but you make no money or go into debt. If you do it yourself you struggle to find a fan base, but keep more money overall. It sounds very familiar.
