Oni + 2009 Dodge Challenger
I have weird car karma. No, don’t get me wrong, I am still being fecked over with my car. I’m still working the equivalent of 2 jobs and selling stuff on ebay. The fundraiser has really helped and it has paid $800 of my $1500 repair bill and deductible which hit me when I was already pressed for cash.
My car is FINALLY in for repair. This means that FINALLY I will get a free car rental from my insurance during the time that they are repairing my hoopty Chevy Crapbalt. Well, the subject of this post gives it away. They let me have anything on the lot for free.
Wait? Anything???
I took the 2009 Dodge Challenger!!!!
OMG LOOK:
It also comes with free Sirius/XM Radio, so I have made sure to put it on the Hair Metal channel and blast that the whole time. Anything else does not seem right. :D
For those of you who aren’t into cars. I will explain. This car is the kind of car that you get when you want to eat other cars for breakfast. The SE has a really tweaked up V6 in it. RT has a 5.7 L HEMI V8 engine in it. The SRT8 has a 6.1L HEMI V8. This is the kind of car that you don’t generally see girls driving. Read more here if you are as interested in this as I am. :D
I wish I could afford one of these. Those who have read here for a long time might recall that one of my favorite pastimes when I was a young child was building remote control cars with my brother. One day we wanted to build a real car like this together. This has me more inspired than ever to continue what I am doing – paying off my debt as fast as I can and imagining the day that I can have one of these! :D
The reactions I have gotten in this car are NUTS. In just 3 days:
- I was pulled over by my job’s security police. I thought I had done something wrong, but he just wanted to see the car.
- I made a family of 6 do a double take and almost fall over.
- It now takes 10 extra minutes to get gas because everyone wants to see it.
- A guy in a Dodge Magnum honked at me and gave me the thumbs up.
- Cars literally get out of my way. They don’t try and cut me off or drive stupid around me anymore. It has been the most easy commute to work I have ever had!
The crown jewel of all this is the palpable shock on people’s faces when they realize that I’m driving it.
Oh man. I never thought it was possible to love a car and be giggly every morning because you have to drive it. But there you go.
I will be so sad when I have to return it and take back my half-fixed car, but you mark my words. I will make my way and I will eventually own one!
