For years now there has been a rumor of a Hello Kitty collection from MAC Cosmetics. Well, Temptalia reported today that this is finally coming true this February.

How many bets that this stuff is going to sell out within hours? I seriously doubt I’ll be able to get my hands on much of this. The demand is going to far exceed supply IMO.

I wonder if I’m the first person to have iPhone finger. I’m typing this on a real keyboard without using my pointer finger because I ended up having to do so much work today without having a laptop nearby that I actually hurt the tip of my finger on my iPhone.

Today in the NJ Turnpike there was a tanker truck fire. Guess who should drive by just as the flames leapt like 50 feet in the air?

I’m ok. I was on the other side of the road, but holy crap. Can you imagine how I felt when I saw this:

When I saw the flames I almost jumped out of my car. Seriously. Then I saw that my side of the lane was moving and I knew it forked away from the flames so I’d be ok…but until I got past it I was very nervous.

Yay, New Jersey and my commute from hell. Usually it sucks without the flames.

The Sun reported of the protests that the Black Canary Barbie is getting. This doll is based off of DC’s superhero of the same name. I found this interesting.

The thing that most people don’t seem to know is that Barbie started off as a sexy toy for adult men!

Back in the 50s, Barbie used to be Bild Lilli, a doll based on a sexy female cartoon character from a German publication called the Bild-Zeitung. She was quite risque for the time. This doll of Lilli used to be sold in bars as a playmate for the men that went there. She was never for children.

This doll was purchased by Mattel and made into the Barbie that we all know today, but the risque things like her shocking prominent breasts were kept intact – so Barbie is not as innocent as many people might think. When I think of conservative toys for children, I think of teddy bears first. Even the modern Barbie with her mix of infantilism, pink things, and adult things is a little ooky if you think about it long enough.
