Hi! I'm Oni. I live in New Jersey. I am an illustrator, educator, webcomic creator, and I started the creator-focused convention called Intervention. I'm in the news a lot. I blog about art, theme parks, and fun things for people who also like kicking life in the nuts. Haunted attractions inspire my artwork.
Well, this one is like, 6 hours from where I live, but I know a lot of Canadians read me. You might be interested to know about this Industrial Festival, in Montreal.

Thanks goes out to the lovely Zwetschke for the tip!
Last week and this week were the weeks of limping for me since I hurt my foot. This is no big deal. I remember back in the day when I had major surgery on my foot. I was in a leg cast for 6 months and a walking cast after that. That sucked! However, last week a guy slammed me into a wall by trying to walk through me and an other guy body-blocked me from getting to the microwave at my day job . It reminded me that people don’t pay attention to their surroundings. It is obvious today that I am struggling to walk – I’m wearing obviously stupid shoes and limping bad. I guess it didn’t register. with these guys who would rather push me down the hallway. I found this interesting.
For example, back in the day when I was in a cast and on crutches I had to ride the crowded trolley to school each morning. while carrying a heavy bag of school books. There were no seats left. Sometimes, a person would give me a seat. Often, they would not. I had to stand on crutches and get squashed by business guys.
I noticed that when I had a larger cast, it was more likely that I would rarely be offered a seat. When I had the slightly smaller cast, I almost was never offered a seat. It hurt a lot to stand like that – my armpits got rubbed and sore from the crutches and I had marks on my back from the heavy bag. Often I was pushed off balance by the trolley and accidentally put weight on my foot when I was not supposed to. Ow. That was painful. At the time I thought people were incredible jerks.
Now I think that some people just don’t pay attention. A lot of people were very nice to me these two weeks and also back when I had my surgeries many years ago, but they weren’t always around. I have to admit it is frustrating to be in pain and slammed around by the oblivious robots.
Enough thinking. I have all the reminder I need…I am looking forward to an un-ouchy future and I think I will try to pay attention more than normal when I am out in the future just in case another person ends up in my same situation. The best part is that I can kind of walk normally now…I want to go to New Hope, PA and do some photography on the day after Christmas. If I can do it, I will be sure to post some photos for you! :D
It’s Christmas. All the shops are closed. I am busy drawing comics while drinking Cosmopolitans rather than coffee. (I am still updating the comic this week, regardless of the holiday.)
Will I see you at the Silent Hill dance? The prefect way to ring in the new year! LOLOLOLOL.
