 Halloween Bento Lunch

I used to cook before I started the gazillion websites that I own. I would make tasty bento lunches out of rice and all kinds of spices and things. I’m sure Harknell misses those days, however, this woman made the most amazing Halloween Bento lunch that I have ever seen in my life.

 Dalek & Cylon Pumpkin

It’s been well documented that I am better suited to drawing and singing than crafting. I can manage the odd beaded necklace now and again, but thats the extent of it. This person clearly beats all with this Dalek Halloween Pumpkin. Not only is it a Dalek, but it can move about and turn it’s head. Click here to see how they did it.

Put a Message in a Zombie With Txt of the Living Dead

Aniline over at Spookee.net tipped me off to this Halloween event in NYC in Brooklyn, Corner of Smith and Pacific (Oct 31 7:30 pm)! Click here to see if it’s happening near you.

NOISIEL, France — An American mashup artist let passers-by put words in giant zombies’ mouths last week.

The show, called Txt of the Living Dead, projected 15-foot-wide, black-and-white stills from George A. Romero’s classic 1968 horror flick Night of the Living Dead onto buildings. Text messages from random people on the street then filled comics-style speech balloons that were added to the images in what New York artist Paul Notzold called an “SMS-enabled interactive street performance.”

“It’s all uncensored, and that’s the beauty of it,” said Notzold, a 33-year-old art director who also teaches about cell phones at Parsons The New School for Design. “Where else can you write something so spontaneous and anonymous and see it projected so large?”

 Halloween Week!

Well, Halloween is this Wednesday. This is the most Asstacular day of the week for Halloween to fall on. It’s right in the middle of the work week. Still, Harknell and I will probably be down at the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade in NYC photographing the festivities. If you are there and you see us, say hello!

I have never been to the parade before, I hope to see lots of Queens and craziness. NYC Photo posted some photos here (Warning: Gay vamping inside, mildly NSFW.) of last year’s parade, so you can check that out to get an idea of what will probably be there. I live an hour away and the parade is until 10 – I have to wake up at 6AM for work the next day. I am going to be exhausted the next morning, but it’s worth it! I bought a ton of film so I will be shooting both digital and film! Yey!
