HOW CAN ANYONE RESIST THESE LITTLE FOOTS?

I found this picture at the baby animal alphabet.

The Candi Sukuh is an Indian temple that has a statue of a man grasping his…err…wee wee. Wiki article about the temple is located here with not necessarily safe for work statues. One of the reliefs in the temple is of the “yoni”, which is a vagina.

In my senior year of college, I took a seminar about the icon of the Barbie Doll in our culture. My professor was a little wacky. She would keep going off on unrelated tangents that usually ended in her freaking out about why everything was phallic and oppressive. I got into an argument with her because I thought it was ridiculous that she thought it was oppressive that NASA’s rockets are shaped…like rockets. It’s physics! How else would the rocket fly upward?!

One day, she brought in a book about “the yoni”. This was (as usual) totally unrelated to class. She then insisted that we go outside “with the trees” and sit in a circle to discuss the book. Then she proceeded to tell us about how we MUST “explore our yonis”. This conversation went on for about an hour.

That sir, was when the class jumped the shark.

When Bauhaus disbanded, their lead singer went solo and did stuff like this. The rest of the band became Love and Rockets. Peter Murphy is awesome. I never got into Love and Rockets.

This is probably one of my favorite videos of all time. Plus, he’s rocking the girly man thing. I looooves me some not macho men. Just the way this video is filmed is better than most everything I’ve ever seen in any video.
